James M. Ayers II, Partner
Jim Ayers is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and Campbell University Law School. He was in the United States Air Force until he started his law career. While in the Air Force he received multiple awards including Reservist of the Year for the Twenty-First Air Force in 1986. For over 25 years his practice has focused on criminal defense, business and taxation law and civil litigation in Federal and State courts. He is a Certified Mediator for North Carolina Superior Courts and Equitable Distribution and Family Financial cases. He is a former Federal CJA Panel Attorney Representative for the Eastern District of North Carolina as well as having served on the Federal Criminal Rules Subcommittee for the Eastern District. He is a frequent speaker at legal educational seminars. He is licensed to practice in all North Carolina courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Middle Districts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the United States Supreme Court and the United States Tax Court.
David J. Haidt, Partner
David Haidt is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and an honors graduate of the University of Maine School of Law where he was the Executive Editor of the Maine Law Review. For the past 24 years his practice has focused on bankruptcy law (debtor and creditor). He is Board Certified in Business Bankruptcy and is a former Bankruptcy Trustee. He is licensed to practice in all North Carolina courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern District and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Jack W. Ayers, associate
Jack Ayers is a graduate of North Carolina State University and Campbell University Norman Adrian-Wiggins School of Law, where he was a Stubbs Bankruptcy Fellow and a recipient of the Dean’s Excellence Scholarship. He graduated from North Carolina State University with a degree in Accounting and a concentration in Financial Analysis. Prior to attending law school, Jack worked for a commercial general contractor in the Triangle area in a variety of roles, including as an estimator, assistant project manager, and project manager. During law school, he interned with Judge Warren of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina and served as both Treasurer and President of the Federalist Society. He is also a proud Eagle Scout. Jack’s practice focuses on business bankruptcy, debtor-creditor disputes, secured transactions, construction litigation, real property disputes, and general litigation.
